Mitsubishi PLC Backup Battery Replacement (Hitachi PLC not necessary)

“This month I have a crucial topic that needs to be addressed as most machines still have their original Mitsubishi PLC back up batteries installed. If battery fails Machine PLC will be lost upon power down of machine. These batteries need to be replaced ASAP and you will want to keep a record of replacement date. Please pay special attention to notes below.

Location: Left side of Mitsubishi PLC in Electrical Cabinet.

CAUTION: PLC needs to be backed up prior to Battery replacement. Special Software needed to perform this procedure. This procedure should be performed by a Qualified Technician only or verify with TSG if PLC back up has been performed.  Extreme Caution: Battery replacement must be performed with power on. Shock Hazard.”
